Public health officials are already closely monitoring testing for COVID-19. The app is working to augment public health manual contact tracing initiatives. It’s important that users of the app not be able to send out false positives. App users are able to choose whether or not to share their results in the app. If a user tests positive and chooses to share their results, public health officials will generate a random code in the web portal that will be given to the infected user to enter into the app in order to report a verified positive case. This can be done over the phone, email, or text.
